Why We Created the Stealth Kits

Because Your Gear Deserves Better Than Tape.

There is a specific kind of "hacker" aesthetic that has existed in photography for decades. You’ve seen it: a $6,000 body and a $3,000 lens, all covered in jagged pieces of gaffer tape. For a long time, we did it too. We told ourselves it was about being "stealthy" or protecting the gear. But every time we stood in front of a high-end client or worked a professional event, that messy, sticky tape felt like a compromise. It didn't match the level of craft we were bringing to the shoot.

That’s exactly why we created the Stealth Kit.

Professionalism is in the Details

When you’re hired for your vision, every part of your presence matters. Carrying gear that looks haphazardly "taped up" can send the wrong message. We believe that professional tools should look the part.

The Stealth Kit was born from the idea that you can have total discretion without sacrificing the premium aesthetic of your camera. It’s about being "unmarked," not "undone."

Beyond the "Tape Hack"

Let’s be honest: your gear deserves more than a temporary adhesive. Gaffer tape eventually peels, leaves a sticky residue in the heat, and collects lint in your bag.

We wanted a solution that felt like it came from the factory. Our labels are precision-cut to follow the exact contours of your Sony, Canon, Nikon, or Leica body. It’s a tailored fit that respects the industrial design of the camera while giving you the anonymity you need for street, documentary, or event work.

Two Ways to Disappear

Through our own testing in the field, we realized that "stealth" means different things to different photographers. That’s why every kit includes two distinct finishes:

The Ghost Logo: For when you want a refined, tone-on-tone look. The branding is still there, but it’s a subtle, gloss-on-matte texture that only reveals itself when the light hits it just right.

Plain Black: For total anonymity. A solid matte finish that eliminates reflections and makes your gear go completely "dark."

Focus on the Shot, Not the Logo

At the end of the day, Field Made Co. exists to remove distractions. Whether it’s a battery guessing game or a bright white logo reflecting in a window during a street shoot, these are "noises" that get in the way of your creativity.

The Stealth Kit is our way of helping you quiet the noise, elevate your professional look, and keep the focus exactly where it belongs—on the subject in front of your lens.

See you out there,

J.F. & Vivian
